płk SG (rez.) Michał Stachyra jest absolwentem Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Od kilku lat związany jest z sektorem energetyki.
Ukończył elitarny program wymiany „The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)” prowadzony przez Departament Stanu USA.
płk SG Michał Stachyra podczas swojej służby pełnił funkcje m.in.: Doradcy Komendanta Głównego Straży Granicznej, Dyrektora Zarządu Zabezpieczenia Działań Straży Granicznej, Zastępcy Szefa Sztabu Komendanta Głównego Straży Granicznej, Komendanta Centrum Szkolenia Straży Granicznej w Kętrzynie oraz Zastępcy Dyrektora Biura Spraw Międzynarodowych KGSG.
Z ramienia Komendy Głównej Straży Granicznej płk SG Michał Stachyra brał udział w pracach Międzyresortowego Zespołu do Spraw Zagrożeń Terrorystycznych oraz Międzyresortowego Zespołu do Spraw Zapewnienia Bezpieczeństwa w Trakcie Przygotowania i Sprawowania przez Rzeczpospolitą Polską Przewodnictwa w Radzie Unii Europejskiej w 2011 r.
Był oddelegowywany do realizacji zadań poza granicami kraju. Pełnił funkcję Zastępcy Dowódcy Międzynarodowej Jednostki Specjalnej w misji EULEX. Jako ekspert organizacji międzynarodowych (FRONTEX, TAIEX, IOM) prowadził specjalistyczne szkolenia na Ukrainie. Dodatkowo był odpowiedzialny za projekty międzynarodowe związane z audytem instytucji rządowych i nadzorem nad implementacją europejskich rozwiązań mających na celu przeciwdziałanie korupcji w Czarnogórze i na Ukrainie.
Michał Stachyra jest absolwentem podyplomowych studiów „Funkcjonowanie rynków energii” w Kolegium Gospodarki Światowej Szkoły Głównej Handlowej
w Warszawie.
Colonel (res.) Michał Stachyra is graduated of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He has been associated with the energy sector for the last several years. He completed the elite exchange program „The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)” provided by the US Department of State.
In 1999, Mr. Stachyra started to serve at the Polish Border Guard.
Col. Stachyra held positions during his professional career: the Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard, Head of Support and Special Task Department, Deputy Chief of Staff, Head of the Border Guard Training Center in Kętrzyn and the Deputy Director of the International Affairs Bureau.
On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard, col. Stachyra participated in the work of the Inter-Ministerial Team for Terrorist Threats and the Interministerial Team for Ensuring Security in the Preparation and Conduct of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2011.
Col. Stachyra was the Deputy Commander of the International Special Unit in the EULEX Mission. As an expert of international organizations (FRONTEX, TAIEX, IOM) he conducted specialized trainings in Ukraine. In addition, he was responsible for international projects related to the audit of government institutions and supervision over the implementation of European solutions aimed at counteracting corruption in Montenegro and Ukraine.
He is graduate of post-graduate studies at: the College of World Economy at the Warsaw School of Economics, the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and the State Defense Studies at the National Defense Academy.
